1960 Gretsch 6186 Clipper cutaway elecric guitar w/original case Serviced Ready to play

1960 Gretsch 6186 Clipper cutaway electric guitar SN #35637 – The guitar has ALL its original parts other than its pick guard. We have had the guitar professionally cleaned and set up – which includes – clean and polish and check hardware and electronics, adjust the neck, intonation, new strings and adjust pickup height.

The guitar plays great (my husband is a guitarist and he says its awesome – the neck width is a bit too wide for his hands otherwise he’d keep it)

I note that there are imperfections in the lacquer – abrasions and minor scratches as would be expected of a guitar of this age. The back of the neck has some of the lacquer missing but nothing upsetting. The original case is completely intact however it is extremely musty musty musty but perhaps some sunshine and airing out will help it along – case has many tears as photos show but better to keep the vintage guitar in its familiar home until the two find a new home! Then you can discard the old case after it has arrived or lovingly restore it. It is fully functioning just ugly and smelly.

Serial number is 35637 which I believe puts it at 1960. We bought it from a customer who told us it was her dad’s and he didn’t play much. It shows some wear but not a whole lot.

We offer a 14 day return policy - no questions asked - just return it securely back to our store - only write Bellport J (not Jewelers) on the package and send to 148 South Country Road, Bellport NY 11713. We will refund your payment with shipping back to you upon receipt of the item in its original condition it was sent to you. If you have altered the item in any way we will have to adjust the refund accordingly.
