This auction is for an original vintage 1956 gibson les Paul gold top with a rare dark back (not a reissue)The guitar has no break...no crack...no repaired....A few dings and scratchs from being 60 years old and well played but nothing ugly....
All pickups ,wiring ,hardware ,finish, and plastic are original to the guitar
The only changed on the guitar are the two volume pots that were changed in the early 70s with correct replacement pots (500 ohm)The first owner did it instead of cleaning the pots...and i never wanted to touch it simply because it sounds so good the way it isThe guitar has a lot of mojos and is very resonnant ...
I refretted it with taller frets than original but similar to the original one and the job is perfect you just dont feel it  on the edge of the neck like the original....its easier to bend 
The  plastic nut was replaced with a bone nut for better intonation and tuning ( original plastic one is included in the guitar case)The ABR-1 on the guitar at the moment is an aged reissue with titanium saddle (but the original ABR-1 is also in the case)These changed were made only for better intonation and sound preference...titanium saddles are great for sustain and clarityThe new owner can put back the original ABR-1 with its original saddle ...the plastic nut and even the frets if originality is necessary....
The neck size is perfect...full and smoothGuitar ring and vibrated naturally when unpluged Intonation is unbelievable ..just perfectBoth pickups are hot (neck 8.00 ......bridge 8.30)guitar weights 9 pounds even
This is a very good les paul gold top and one of the best i had...if you ever buy it you ll know what i mean when you will play it
The original case (5 latchs) is in very good condition
