There are fuzz pedals for noise and some for subtle voilin like sound and then there is the Wampler Velvet Fuzz Pedal which can do it all. This pedal is for the players who dont like fuzz and for the payers who do. Its a sure go to fuzz pedal capable of doing the Jimi Hendrix thing, Texas blues to the lower bowery sound of CBGBs.

Looking back through history, there have been some truly outstanding fuzz tones. In particular, the tones achieved by running a fuzz into a screaming stack. The kind of tones that are just earth shattering in their depth, aggression and smoothness.

Brian Wampler, whos always looking for the best tones to capture, decided the chase was on. Taking the base tones from a very famous pedal and the characteristics of a famous stacked, EL34 driven, amp - decided it was about time those tones were brought together in pedal format.

If you are a fan of the tones of the players like David Gilmour or Eric Johnson, then it could be that the Velvet Fuzz is the pedal you are looking for.

The key to the tone of the Velvet is the voicing switch. In the "big" position, the pedal reacts like a classic fuzz. Loads of internal compression and truly massive tones it really is that "tone" from that "era". Dropping the volume back cleans it up perfectly so your rhythm can remain clear enough and then your solos will flatten all those who dare to stand before you.

In the "tight" position, the tone comes in and you get the feeling you have swapped amps as well, those mammoth tones but without the compression and other traits that many fuzz players love... Yes, thats right. If you love the tone of Fuzz but not the reaction of it, this is the setting on the pedal that is for you.

          Megatone Music uses USPS Priority or First Class on all Domestic shipments. On Guitars, Basses, Amps and Pro Audio we use either FedEx or UPS. All items ship within 24-48 business hours of payment clearing. Tracking will be available and emailed within that time frame.

          We do not offer free shipping on used or refurbished items unless free shipping is noted on the listing. Most new products over $99.00 include Free Shipping.

          International Customers: Megatone Music strives to provide our international customers with the most affordable shipping on eBay. Our rates are extremely competitive and well work with you the best we can. All shipments are insured and tracked.

            Megatone Music is dedicated to customer satisfaction. Used and refurbished products are non-returnable. New products have a 30-day return policy. If your purchase does not fulfill your needs for any reason, you can return your item for an exchange or refund. Simply contact our store to receive instructions on returning your purchase. The following conditions apply:

            • Shipping is non-refundable.

            • No-Restocking Fees (provided item is repacked according to factory standards & in the same condition as when you received it). So new items must be in Brand New Condition.

            • Returns are accepted only on items with a minimum purchase price of $50.

            • Items purchased originally with Free Shipping will have standard ground shipping fees deducted from the refund. The buyer is responsible for return shipping costs.
