Pedal commanders grip your effects pedals from the sides their housing on three sides.  Design your signal chain starting from one side.  Determine if Pedal Commanders or Pedal links will be best for each pedal and save room for them. Starting from one side mount each pedal in place one at a time including all patch cables.  The foam strips on Pedal commanders will hold pedals in place but peeling the adhesive strip will result in a much stronger hold.
