An exceptional overdrive pedal designed to meetthe diverse tonal requirements of country music star Brad Paisley.
Since late 2009,Brad Paisley has been using Wampler Pedals. He started with the FauxAnalogEcho, then got an Ego Compressor and then had the Underdogoverdrive.
Everything wasgreat until his tech at the time, Chad, mentioned that Brad still wasnot quite settled on the overdrive sound he was getting from his liverig. He asked if Wampler could maybe look at making a pedal?
Brads requirementswere quite "simple". "It needs to be clean but get crunchy with some"beef" to it. It needs to have a fluid tone when soloing. It needs toadd a little hair to the tone but then has to be able to give flat outball busting gain. Oh but please do not wreck the tonality. It needs tohave everything, in a pedal format, but do not make it sound like apedal!"
Over a period ofmonths, Brian at Wampler made some circuits and sent them off. Therewere a couple of "tweaks" here and there to be made and then finally,when official "proto #2" landed it went straight into the live rack andout on the H20world tour.
That prototype hasnow been made into the Brad Paisley signature "Paisley Drive" and goeswith Brad wherever he goes. When you see Brad live, or performing liveon the TV, and you are blown away by his overdriven tone, its thePaisley Drive.
The truly greatthing about this pedal is that its not only Telecaster style guitarsthat it works so well with, it brings the best out of your Strat oranything you may have loaded with humbuckers. You no longer need tohave individual pedals for your guitars; the Paisley Drive will makeeach one sing.
The built-in tonalcontrols, the presence and mid contour switches will make this pedalthe single most versatile and complete overdrive pedal you have everowned. In fact, it might be the last one you ever buy.FEATURES
