You simply cannot match the lows on a Martin. TheUsed ESP / MA-250 FR 1ST CST ESP Guitars from JAPAN EMS sound is incredible. Strumming sounds good but a little too bright for me at times. I usually play a Gibson Songwriter Deluxe the majority of the time, but when I really want to stand out and fill a room, a play my D28. This is truly the guitar all other dreadnought acoustics are measured against. My only wish is that they would make it in an acoustic-electric but for what it is mainly intended for, bluegrass, there is no need I guess. I went ahead and had mine custom done with a high-end pickup inside and now mine can be plugged in. Perfect.
